Bio-Save® is an EPA registered, US-patented, certified-organic, post-harvest, biological-decay-control agent. Bio-Save® is labeled for post-harvest applications for the control and prevention of disease on a variety of fruits and vegetables that includes, among others: seed and storage white potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
The main ingredient of Bio-Save® is the formulated bacterium, Pseudomonas syringae. Pseudomonas syringae is a vegetative microorganism bacterium that enters the wounded crop where the mold spores (disease) are located and will last, under competitve inhibition, in the wounds throughout the storage period.
Bio-Save® 10LP is a certified-organic, post-harvest biological preventative for potatoes, citrus, and pome fruits. It controls the decay causedby dry rot (Fusarium sambucinum) and silver scurf (Helminthosporium solani) on both seed and storage potatoes.
Bio-Save® 11LP is a certified-organic, post-harvest biological preventative for sweet potatoes and pome fruits. It aids in the control of soft rot on sweet potatoes.
